Robert Thompson
As General Manager of FPC of Columbia, Robert has overall responsibility for the management of the Columbia office. His primary role is to ensure FPC of Columbia is the best it can be. In addition to his role as General Manager, Robert actively manages a desk, specializing in the placement of Materials and Supply Chain Management professionals. Robert joined FPC of Columbia as a recruiter in 1982. He launched the Purchasing desk at FPC of Columbia, building it to the most productive area in the office in a short period of time. Subsequently, Robert assumed responsibility for the Materials/Supply Chain area, expanding and building it to a high level of production within the Columbia office. Prior to becoming an owner/manager at FPC of Columbia, Robert was Top Annual Producer in the Columbia office for 4 years and was Top Producer in the entire FPC National system once. His career production is in excess of $4 million. Prior to joining FPC of Columbia, Robert enjoyed a career in the manufacturing arena. He served in the roles of Production Manager and Materials Manager with two different manufacturing firms. Robert earned his BS degree in Industrial Management from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from the University of Memphis. Robert is a dedicated family man. He and his wife, Connie, have two adult children.
